Merit Scholarships

Students entering from high school may be eligible for merit scholarships.

Rotary Club Honors

Each year Rotary Club Honors Scholarships are available to entering Long Beach City College students who graduate from area high schools. Awarded on the basis of a student's academic record and potential, these scholarships require students to have met the "a through f" subject requirements for entry into the University of California with a GPA of 3.5 or better (correspondingly high scores on the SAT or ACT are also necessary).

Long Beach City College Foundation

The Long Beach City College Foundation awards $150 scholarships to all graduates of Long Beach high schools who have a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average and who enroll at Long Beach City College.

Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce Scholarships

$2,000 scholarships. Students who are enrolled in two-year colleges are eligible to apply. Selection is based on public service, an application letter, and grades. For complete application materials for 2006, go to the LAJCC website (the site lists the 2004 dates, but the information is accurate, otherwise).

For more scholarship information, visit the Scholarships Office.
